When visiting my cubicle for the first time, people say one of two things:
“Wow. It’s so…colorful…over here”, or
“Do you work for eBay?”
This is because my cubicle is plastered with just about every piece of event material I’ve created during the year, and a LOT of family photos.

Family that includes many, many, many eBay peeps.

I don’t do it to brag. I do it because I know I’m obsessive.

A trait that often leads to getting bogged down, stuck or just plain negative. When that happens, all I have to do is look up.

Everywhere I glance I can find a design, event or face that reminds me, “this was good”, “that was not so good”, or “think of things in a completely different way”.

Ahh so that’s where the pirate party picture went to! I love that one (can I have a digi-copy please?)!!
Seriously, I remember working my butt off for that event to cover the windows and make the break rooms look like the galley of a ship… and the upstairs the top. (WAAAaaaYYY more work than I thought it would be – but it’s that one, the alien party, and the halloweens that everyone remembers….)
Last time I was in SLC, I got asked where we had gotten all of our great ideas, and do you remember that…. GREAT Party … (fill in the blank). I was pretty pleased to be like yeah, I helped work on that. I guess when you create something that’s
Legen-(wait for it)-dary
it’s worth the efforts.
